Execution Roles
Project & Program Management
You already ran missions under pressure. Here’s how to turn that into PM roles across industries.
PMs organize people, timelines, budgets, and expectations. If you’ve led teams, built schedules, or delivered outcomes—you’ve done project management.
Veteran skills → PM skills
| Military skill | PM translation |
|---|---|
| Mission planning | Project timelines & execution |
| Logistics / ops | Resource allocation & coordination |
| O/NCO leadership | Cross-functional team management |
| Briefing & reporting | Executive comms, status updates |
| SOP development | Process docs & continuous improvement |
PMs lead without formal authority—exactly like the military.
